The Nerve of Some People

This will be quite the rant by the time I am done, but I am absolutely amazed by the nerve of some people. As you may have read, I posted a few days ago on my experience with getting tickets to see Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana and how the tickets were sold out to scalpers before the public ever had a chance to buy them.

Imagine my surprise when I find a link in my statistics to this site, where they use MY post and QUOTE ME DIRECTLY, acting as if they sympathize with the outrageous prices I have discovered. Then, IN THE SAME PARAGRAPH, they post a referral link to buy the tickets at a minimum of FIVE TIMES the price as if it is some kind of bargain. The entire blog is nothing but a scalper’s site, setup to make money off of selling tickets to see Hannah Montana at every location possible.

Naturally there is no option to contact anyone or post a comment. The hacker in me is sorely tempted to do something very mean and evil, but I shall refrain. At least for now…

I have some Miley Cyrue tickets for sale.I am not a broker just trying to offset some bills.

  • I agree fully, i did the EXACT SAME THING as Gretchen, tried to get them for the family, and my computer said the same. the little “fanclub” members bought them all up to just jack the ticket prices for everyone else.

i can tell you what im doing next year, im recruting everyone i know to buy 4 tickets, then im goign to scalp the HELLLLLLL out of them and maybe retire early. and SHAME ON Mylie Cyrus for not knowing that early ticket sales is ONLY for this. not the little girls who really want to see her. what does she really care, she’s getting rich off our little girls, so she’s in it for as much as she can make too. im calling the tv station in my area to do a story on this, im totally disgusted.

  • I had the same experience as you with the Hannah Montana tickets. I called my local news station and they are running a story on the subject this evening. I hope this will bring some light to the subject and people will stop lining the pockets of these greedy greedy people (and I’m being nice by calling them people).

  • Hope you get your tickets! What a shame! It’s not like Super Bowl tickets — the fans here are almost all just little girls.

I don’t think the artists are getting any kind of kick back for these scalper prices. The money goes entirely into the scalper’s pockets. I will probably try to get tickets again a little closer to the date when prices (hopefully) come down, but that makes it all the more frustrating because we can’t plan our schedules in advance and then there’s the risk that the tickets won’t arrive in time. 8-|

There’s got to be a better way. :-? And it does suck for the kids, I agree.

  • I think if people were smart they would boycot buying tickets until a week before the concert so that they would have to sell them cheaper,no one is worth that much to see! This is a children’s revue! Hannah should have a say, unless she gets a kick back! people need to do something and stand up for everything in this country, but theybjust sitn back and let everyone take Advantage, because we they are too busy! I wanted to take my daughter, but unless I get tickets for under 50 dollars I will not be there! hope u find them!!!

PS – I am finding some consolation in the fact that their blog has such low SEO rankings that Google Alerts hasn’t even picked up on it to warn me. ;))
