I was told I wasn’t supposed to be a tomboy!
What I was quite young, I wore frilly dresses and patent leather shoes. As I grew older and had more free reign of my world and neighborhood kingdom, I wanted to explore every part of it!
So, I scampered through the woods, dug in the dirt, built forts, and touched mud. I mucked out horse stalls, rolled down hills, and poked questionable critters with sticks.
I was a Northern girl in a Southern Belle town who knew nothing of debutantes or manicures and a girl running around and acting like a ‘boy’ was frowned on.
I have gone on to become a very girly girl, but would never trade those years in the woods for anything!

I’m with you on that Lisa. To this day I still don’t like dresses and frilly stuff. [-( I prefer something practical that I can really move in and get things done. I was the queen of all things dirty as well. I practically lived in either my treehouse or the sandbox. :)
