Kristina Fought For Weeks to Play Football

Hi. I’m Kristina and my story is about my high school not letting me play football just because I’m a girl. I had to fight for 3 weeks just to get on the team and when I did get on the team, they didn’t even let me get the ball at all in a game. I was only in 3 games for about 2 minutes. The coaches are so messed up.

Kristina – I know how that feels. When I made the boys basketball team in sixth grade, I didn’t get to play very much either.

Regardless of the coaching, you have to press on and do your best. You will probably have to work harder to prove yourself, especially when there are so many stereotypes to overcome. There is a huge trend towards girls playing football at the high school level. You are not alone in your fight to play the sport you love.

Read through some of the “related” posts listed above and you will see what I mean.
