Girls Can’t Be Paramedics
Dictionary.com defines “Paramedic” as
a person who is trained to assist a physician or to give first aid or other health care in the absence of a physician, often as part of a police, rescue, or firefighting squad
Paramedics are often the first to arrive on the scene and their care and medical attention can be the most important during the critical moments after an accident or injury. I applaud all of the men and women who have undergone the intense mental, physical and emotional training to prepare themselves for those moments when we need them most.
The career of EMT is typically a male-dominated one, but we all know women are quite capable of handling this occupation with the same grace and skill as their male counterparts. So for all the women out there driving the ambulance, administering the medication or holding someone’s hand, this design is for you. It is now available in the Girls Can’t WHAT? shop on a variety of gifts and apparel.
Girls Can’t Be X-ray Technologists
I have just finished another custom design - an X-ray Technician - requested by Tarah (by the way Tarah, your email is bouncing, please contact me again about your other request). I’ve had so many requests for medical characters…doctors, nurses, emts, surgeons, etc. that perhaps they need their own category now. Hmm… Anyway, the X-Ray Technician has been added to the Girls Can’t WHAT? shop on the usual items…hoodies, t-shirts, hats, mugs, stickers, tote bags and the increasingly popular pillow. Visit the Girls Can’t WHAT? shop to see the full listing of products.
Like A Surgeon
Sorry about the title, but the first thing I thought about when posting this design was Weird Al’s parody “Like A Surgeon”. Yes - I grew up in the 80’s. ![]()
Anyway - I have just completed the surgeon design for the Girls Can’t WHAT? Shop. This design was not actually on my (really long) list of characters to create, but as I was starting to morph one character into another, I applied the green color to her shirt and jeans and -well- it just looked like scrubs. So I decided to create a surgeon. Why not? Girls can be surgeons, too!
This design is now available in the Girls Can’t WHAT? Shop!
