New Sheriff Design

Sheriff DesignLast night I was impressed by a news clip on my local tv station WAND. Reporter Scot England featured Debbie Harrison on his weekly report. Debbie was recently appointed the first woman sheriff’s deputy in Shelby County, Illinois. Debbie herself was inspired to become an officer when she saw another female officer out directing traffic for the police department. Debbie is active in educating students and is often found in the schools, hopefully inspiring other girls to follow in her footsteps with a career in law enforcement. You can read more about Debbie in the Shelbyville Daily Unionwhere she admits “I was the first female officer for the City of Rochelle and Ogle County as well.”

Intrigued by Debbie’s story, I went to work on a Sheriff design which I have just added to the Girls Can’t What? shop. The design comes in dark and light skin tones on a variety of gift and apparel items. Makes a great gift for deputies of all ages! You can get any design personalized before you order – just look for the “Customize It” button.

I could not believe someone made a T-shirt after me. Gretchen you are just awesome! I really love it and look forward to using the pins as incentives for any female students who show an interest in Law Enforcement. Thank you for making my day.

I would like to order some T-Shirts for my three daughters and my only granddaughter. How much are they and how do I order them. Three adult mediums and one 24 month

    You can e-mail me

Where is the old techno-geek lady t-shirt? I was your friend long before Debbie.

I probably shouldn’t have said that – you did say she is a woman of the law, yes? Her badge is hopefully not as potent in Nebraska. Wonder how far the long arm of the law extends?

No wonder I have no t-shirts modeled after me! ;-)

hehehe! Well – I do count myself in good company, Kel! -You have to put up with her ALL of the time, so, your t-shirt should be first! What is the deal? Have to arrest someone to get her attention. ;)

    Amy–count yourself lucky. *smirk*

I got a soapbox and an I “heart” Gerry shirt. :P

Apparently that is the high opinion that my friend has of me. =))

Hey you two – break it up! I’m not even sure you two should be talking to each other. Especially about me. :-?

OK. So, it’s pretty obvious that Debbie’s cool – she certainly deserves a T-shirt design! :)

Debbie’s attitude brings alot of humor to us at the Sheriff’s Office we all like her as if we have known her forever.

Yeah it sure sounds that way. I’m tellin’ ya – her interview was what grabbed my attention. I just clicked with her personality, I guess. :)

So anyone else out there want a T-shirt? I’m taking nominations…give me some idea and role model…

I am the health teacher that Debbie worked with during her DARE program. The students just loved her and they are still talking about her. I had a blast during the three weeks that we were together. I have 2 daughters and my wish for them is that they will know that they can do anything that they want.

WOW – I’m impressed. Good job Deb!
I love the Sheriff’s T-shirt also – why didn’t we think of doing something like that when we worked together?? We could be rich… :)
