i think the biggest challange for the military women would be that the men of the base do not treat the women as fairly as they treat there guy buddies because the girls are ” not tough enough to hang with the dudes” ya right whatever. GIRLS CAN TOO !!!!!!!

The biggest challenge that they would have do deal with would be missing there family and have to guys saying that ‘girls can’t’.

It’s my guess that the biggest obstacle women have to overcome in the military are their superiors and fellow personel’s minds that ‘girls can’t’.

The hardest part of having a daughter in the military is the distance. She is becoming such a self sufficient, driven mature young woman right before us!

Being seen as an equal is still a challenge for women in the armed services…unfortunately.

I would say gaining the respect of your fellow military personal and having them see you as an equal and not as a woman.

With fifteen years in the Navy so far, I can honestly say the biggest challenge for military women is overcoming the stereotypes of the general public. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been told that I must have my husband’s signature or approval for anything from a credit card to obtaining medical care for my children. Leaving your family behind is definitely tough, but you expect it when you join. Being hassled just to get everyday errands done is more frustrating.

The biggest challenge would have to be being away from your family. I have two girls of my own and I can’t begin to think what one day would be without them. I have nothing but respect for all our military women!!

The biggest challenge for women is leaving their family,women do alot of things to help the world ,but going to war and help our country is more than anyone can imagine.
