Miss Bimbo

Posted by: gretchen on Tuesday, March 25th, 2008 in Random Musings | 214 Comments

I am all in favor of shooting stupid people… Like the creators of Miss Bimbo, an online gaming site for young girls that encourages plastic surgery and extreme dieting to create the perfect figure for their character. It is also recommended to players that their virtual character get breast enlargement surgery and keep themselves thin with diet pills. The object of the game is create “the coolest, richest and most famous bimbo in the world”. By competing against other girls they earn “bimbo dollars” to buy plastic surgery, diet pills, facelifts, lingerie and fashionable nightclub outfits. How sickening. :(

Miss Bimbo

Since I posted this, there has been a huge increase in user registrations for this site. I realize visitors are landing here by googling “Miss Bimbo” but are you registering because you like Girls Can’t WHAT? or did you think this was the Miss Bimbo site? :-?

    Either way – welcome! :d

  5. Can they be any more insulting? : Girls Can’t WHAT? March 30th, 2008 9:26 pm

I think this site is stupid why are they encouraging girls to have plastic surgery and be perfect prissy little dolls? What are we in the dark ages where women are just for looking at?

  7. Chi April 2nd, 2008 9:17 am

…wow…I don’t know if that’s more sickening or rude. Like actually, how would guys feel if someone made a guy version of with, but with steroids, alcohol, and drugs?

oh wait…they probably wouldn’t care since about half of them are already on one or more of these -.-

wow..you have to see my bimbo, she’s hot! She’s got the biggest boobs, the biggest butt, and she’s definitely the skinniest. She’s also got really nice hair. And i like her. EAT MY SOCKS YOU ROBOTS WHO THINK EVERY GIRL SHOULD BE A CERTAIN WAY NO MATTER WHAT

  10. gretchen May 3rd, 2008 12:34 pm

Sandy – I think you have it backwards. If you look around Girls Can’t WHAT? you will find a wide variety of women – bikers, firefighters, drummers, athletes, doctors and more. This site is about promoting individuality and not conforming to what other people think. Miss Bimbo clearly does not share the same ideals.

  11. Janet May 4th, 2008 3:51 am

Individuality, freedom to do or think whatever one wants; these are extremely important things, things that everybody, whether they be women OR men of all races, religions etc, have the right to. It should go without saying but, sadly, it often doesnt.
However, I really do think that yes, while people in society, such as the makers of miss bimbo do take things to an “extreme” that can be potentially harmful to younger, more impressionable people, other people tend to take things a tad too seriously. This website, and others like it, are tongue in cheek. They are obviously not made with the intention of influencing children into using diet pills etc etc. Miss Bimbo.com is funny, it’s fun. Furthermore, it was not creating solely for the use of young girls, but rather anybody that cares to join!- Just as are most websites that receive the same types of criticism. Sure it’s a bit un-pc, but lets be honest here: parents of children and teenagers, especially these “young girls” cannot possibly find it completely impossible to monitor and control, at least to an extent, the sites which their children access, can they?
The creators of websites do not force this information and these ideas and morals upon children/teenagers, they simply exist, there for people who find them themselves and want to use them. In fact, it is because of websites and regular appearances on tv shows etc criticizing the sites that they receive half of the attention and users in the first place!
I consider womans rights in the middle east, racism, human rights issues to be a proper cause of concern, discussion, and most importantly, action. Not a small website that is really just making fun of people for being so serious.

  15. Charlie May 14th, 2008 7:00 am

    Hey, Girls
Sure I have a problem with the miss bimbo site.
It would be an alright game without the encouagement of plastic surgery and weight thing.

I think this whole big deal about the miss bimbo game for girls is a little sexist in the fact there are hundreds of internet games out there that promte guns, drugs, gambling (I could go on) for boys. Whose to say that Miss bimbo is worse. I personally think its because its a girls game that people think its bad. I never here anything like that with a boys gun game. Heck they even sell toy guns in the real world.

  16. Cinderella@theparty May 18th, 2008 4:15 pm

    Hey,

I am a real feminist and i am totally adicted to Miss Bimbo. It is a GAME and it is fun.
I enjoyed playing with barbie when i was i kid and guess what: i didn’t turn out to be a blond without a p***y.

    Have fun!

  17. Kathryn May 25th, 2008 12:57 pm

right listen people who think they know everything about “miss bimbo”. ok by the comments you are making you are making it sound like a bad thing. but have you ever gone on the site itsself. it has on e.g. the breat surgery bit”Warning : this is a virtual game and plastic surgery in real life is a serious consideration. UK law forbids breast surgery for anyone aged 18 or under. Please seek advice from friends, family or experts should you wish to discuss boob jobs or any concerns/issues raised whilst playing the Miss Bimbo game.” quoted. right does that sound like it is premoting breat transplants. ?? it doesnt to me. girls sometime need it to help them gain confidence. im only on it coz i like it. its like owning a fucking pet. just stop being bitches and realise that its only fair if you gave it a good review,

  18. Lisa May 26th, 2008 3:07 am

    Hahahahaha. What ?!?!
    Miss Bimbo is a GAME!
I dont see what’s wrong with girls having fun on the internet. Sure it has things on it like breast implants on it but that doesn’t nessecarily mean they’re going to get breast implants when they’re older.
And diet pills have been taken off.

    :O:O:O

  19. jenners May 29th, 2008 9:06 pm

i play miss bimbo all the time. i dont think that it encourages girls to take diet pills or get breast surgery, it actually kind of does the opposite. it makes fun of girls who do all these things by calling them bimbos. “bimbo” is a derogative term. the game is fun too! its just a game and its really not all that terrible.

  20. isabel May 31st, 2008 1:21 pm

i’ve read your comments and you all have good views.
I saw an article on missbimbo.com in MIZZ magazine, the site shows breasty englargment, diet pills and weight etc. etc. in such a “plastic” way to try and convince girls to only use this stuff in a virtual world, you’ve kinda got the wrong end of the stick, they’re trying to shock people into the horror of real bimbos

  21. Rachael June 2nd, 2008 8:03 am

Lots of people think that miss bimbo is a bad egsample well it is not. I think the site is entertaning and there is nothing wrong with it. This site does not encorrage bad and inappropraiot behaviour.

  22. gretchen June 2nd, 2008 9:07 am

Unless someone can explain to me what they are “learning” from this game, I hold to my opinion that it is lame and a complete time-waster. I would personally prefer to invest my time in something more worthwhile. /:)

  23. Aniise June 3rd, 2008 3:11 am

altho it is fun, it duz kinda promote boob implants nd fingz.. at least dey removed da diet pills. it stil is sexist and duz mke girls wanna be lyk dat… did u read dat article on mizz, bimbo britain??

  24. isabel June 3rd, 2008 3:30 pm

I’m now fed up with it.
Im going to contact the site owners with points (hopefulyy referring to all of your comments with permission from you)
boob implants and face lifts?! its really bad for lil kids to play with stuff like that!
why cant the site do stuff that makes people say
“hey paris hilton did that! what an idiot”
    my ideas were:

    write an auto biography,
launch an already failed singing career (lose money on the site)
protest with hippies about the enviroment
adopt a child from a 3rd world country/ or donate a large amount of money to a third world country.

thats what most celebrities do, i thought about them all and think they have a more positive effect then negative

  25. Rebecca June 4th, 2008 4:26 pm

Miss Bimbo is a fun GAME and if ur stupid enough to take diet pills and have surgery because of it, well thats ur fault!
U shudnt take it so seriously!!!

  26. Rebecca June 4th, 2008 4:30 pm

if u havnt realised its called miss BIMBO!
as in, ur a bimbo for doing all that stuff!
it isnt that bad, its kinda saying how getting boob jobs and face lifts nd takin diet pills is bad!
some ppl reeli need to lighten up!
its an entertainin game nd it says evrywer nt 2 do da stuff in real life unless u realli want to!

  27. oneredlady June 5th, 2008 4:00 am

its only a game. games are not set up to teach kids values, their parents are. these game are around for entertainment and to make money. if you want your child to want to grow up and have a future sit down and talk to them and maybe they won’t spend hours playing GAMES.

  28. Becca June 8th, 2008 11:17 am

Oh My God ! Get a Grip its a game if your that bothrd dini play it !! bt naewan wants to hear you moanin aboot how bad it is wen its no even promoting anyhin like that !

  29. gretchen June 9th, 2008 11:26 am

@oneredlady – I think games do teach. They teach a lot of skills like logic, strategy and other skills. They can also teach attitudes and principles. I love to play games, but want to be aware of what I am learning in the process. ;)

  30. Madison June 9th, 2008 5:41 pm

Gretchen, I think you don’t understand this… girls play on MISS BIMBO because it’s fun… and it has dressup games! So, if you have a problem don’t blog about do something about it!!!!!!!!!! So, please just let us girl BE GIRLS!

  31. Madison June 9th, 2008 5:42 pm

My mom looks like Miss Bimbo!

  32. Lorns June 13th, 2008 11:35 am

I think nearly all the comments I`ve read so far have a point. I joined up out of interest after an article in mizz magazine. When I joined up i found that the game is actually quite good fun as long as you don`t take it seriously. The irony in this game is actually quite funny as in yhe beggining you set out to and i quote ” Become the hottest, coolest most INTELLIGENT and talented bimbo the world has ever known. I think these guys have forgotten the meaning of the word BIMBO!

  33. Madison June 13th, 2008 1:08 pm

Miss Bimbo is an ok game but it seems as this one (person) is brainwashing kids (GURLS) to do things!!!!!!! Let the gurls be them!

  34. Madison June 13th, 2008 1:09 pm

    B-e who you are

  35. Madison June 13th, 2008 1:09 pm

    That’s what it means!!!!!!!!!!!

  36. Madison June 13th, 2008 1:10 pm

Grethen- email me!!!!!!! I need to talk!

  37. Lorns June 14th, 2008 10:36 am

Everyone seems to have different views on miss bimbo, i think its ok. On the bit where it asks you to get plastic surgery (the bit everyones fussing about) it does say like Kathryn said, ”Warning : this is a virtual game and plastic surgery in real life is a serious consideration. UK law forbids breast surgery for anyone aged 18 or under. Please seek advice from friends, family or experts should you wish to discuss boob jobs or any concerns/issues raised whilst playing the Miss Bimbo game.” I suppose that tells people that surgery is a really bad idea. Thnks xx

  38. Ruby June 15th, 2008 9:23 am

I am getting so, so fed up of people saying Miss Bimbo is bad. Do you know what’s bad? Global Warming, War, Racism, etc. Why do people get so upset about this tiny game?
And Gretchen, I have actually learned a lot from playing on Miss Bimbo. It has mini games, including Sudoku and Mastermind, and you have to play these games to gain IQ, which is a vital part of the game. When I log on to Miss Bimbo, I know that my Logic will get better.
Also, why is everyone making such a big fuss about the diet pills and breast surgery? On Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, you are encouraged to shoot innocent people, but I don’t see anyone here complaining about that (not that I’m complaining). I really believe that if anything is going to influence kids, it’s peer pressure, not a stupid game.
The website has taken down the diet pills, so now the only way to stay at the ideal weight of 127 lbs (probably twice the weight of Paris Hilton), you have to eat healthily. This is promoting healthy living, not anorexia.
I think if you have a problem with it, contact the website and complain, don’t write a blog about it, you’re only promoting the website.
Miss Bimbo rocks. It’s harmless fun, and it’s more productive than sitting in front of a TV all day. Stop complaining, it’s a made-up problem!

  39. Georgia June 22nd, 2008 3:15 pm

    Heyyaa :D

    lol

For starterss my BIMBO is indeed sxchickool !!!!! i love it
And i think it is a really cooll game as it’s like no sensible person wants to do these things in real life– diet pills, breast implantss, plastic sugery etc,,, but you do get to muck around glam up this doll and i think that this is pretty awsome and its great as you can interact with other girls and also challenge them and also i find it quite funny on how far you can tan them or make them powder white and personally i dont wish to be like this when i am of an older age,, its just a bit of fun for now and i think as long as you understand what it would be like in real life then oit is fine to muckk aroundd on your lap top have a laugh- maybe being bitchy kijnd nice perfect plastic evil or just plain funny it is amusinggg and veryy enjouablee and id like to see what you have to say aboutt thatt

    _____sxchickool____DONT FORGET IT :P

    sxchickool

    ^^
    nothingg else :)

  40. Autt June 23rd, 2008 10:22 am

Okay, I can see where you would be appauled by this website, and I’m not trying to undermine your opinion. But, did you ever realize that this site was made for fun, and not to make girls think they have to be perfect? The game wasn’t even developed for young girls! Plus, most people who play the site realize that it’s just fun and games and don’t want plastic surgery or diet pills. (I don’t!)
Really, people just use it as an escape from reality. Plus, the makers were probably making fun of women who already do this. Haven’t you guys ever heard of AMERICANS? That’s what the makers were acting like…Americans…just making fun of something and then deciding to get some cash off of their fun-poking. Sorry, just felt like I had to share my idea!!

  41. Shaylene June 25th, 2008 8:35 pm

Personally, I think you are all being just slightly rediculous. First off, if you have registered to Miss Bimbo and don’t like it — simple, delete your account. If you aren’t a member & don’t like the ideas you think it “promotes” then forget it exsists. If you have daughters or sons (yes there are guys on the site) that you don’t want to play the game because of what you may or may not think it correctly protrays to young PEOPLE, then don’t allow your children on the site. People need to grow up and get over the fact that “OH MY!! They allow you to have plastic surgery && boob jobs.” I mean seriously. I do have a daughter and regardless she may only be 9 months old, but if she were older and wanted to play on the site, I’m not going to forbid it. And why you may ask? Because as long as I, as her mom, explain to her that it is just a game && that for no reason in real life should you feel that she needs any of those things to make her more of a person, then why make a bigger deal of it?

Finally, to all you immature individuals out there, just GROW UP!! I mean seriously what is it that you are accomplishing as an individual by arguing with other people OVER A GAME!!! We are taught as young children that people are different and part of being different entails that we may have different thoughts or beliefs on various issues. Deal with it and go on. Do not condone someone because you don’t agree with them. I am disappointed in this site. I started to read down through these comments and I can’t honestly say that I will be back, however to those of you who feel the need to reply, my email address is shaylenexnicole@yahoo.com -and all kinds of comments & replies are welcome, but don’t be shocked if you don’t recieve reply because I am not going to argue over a game.

  42. jhamaria26 June 28th, 2008 9:05 pm

i think the “breast implant” thing is stupid… i mean if a 7-10 year old sees that SO WHAT..its not as if they can actually go and do it… smart asses. and when they are old enuf to do it they probably wont.cuz then theyll realize that its a game. and the diet pills thing: really where is a frikin’ 10 year old going to buy a diet pill. arent parents supposed to moniter wat their children eat… the child may as well be taking drugs if the parents r so irresponsible. And wat about gun games that encourage you to kill people and steal and many other bad stuff…. i dont see anyone complaining about that. And about the french kiss game… if a girl goes to a CLUB she must be about 18 years or older and if she wants to kiss a truckload of boys then isnt that her problem….and if a minor decides to do that, isnt it her parents job to instill good moral vaues… and if she doesnt know wats rite from wrong_SHE SHOULDNT BE EXPOSED TO THE WORLD! not internet or tv or anything. because whether or not a kid goes on missbimbo she is still exposed to a whole lot of crap. i watch “E” every day and every second some sex scandal is reported…so its really down to the parents to ensure that their kid is is on the right track

  43. jhamaria26 June 28th, 2008 9:09 pm

some of these parents are lucky that their kids rnt watching porn on the internet…thats wat they should be’outraging’ about: INTERNET PORN”
there i said it thats a real issue

  44. Amy July 5th, 2008 2:15 am

This is actually so stupid. For gods sake it is a game. 7-10 year olds probably dont even understand the ‘Breast implants’ and if they do its not like they are suddenly going to feel like they want one cause they are probably not even at the stage of having boobs. They are not going to be obsessed with the size of their boobs or their image. It also warns you about breast implants in real life. If they feel they want the breast implants or face lifts when their older thats their choice and it helps them feel good about there selfs. If your against it then fine .. BUT ITS A GAME!. Kids want to have fun – the game is fun ! Its not serious . Kids will grow out of the stages if they get it into their head that they want s boob job or if they dont than thats their decision and there is no point of being against it cause what is that sctually going to do !? NOTHING.

  45. lauren July 9th, 2008 12:40 am

    Actually thats not true

    1. you do not have to extreme diet – you have to feed your bimbo every day or she will die – she gets hungry and thirsty – and chocolate and icecream makes her happy.. in face, one of the goals of the game is to become a plus size model..

    2. you dont challenge other players to win money, that option is there but you can challenge them for no stake at all.. and its not just on the clothes you buy, its also your happiness and IQ that counts

i think its funny that the uproar surrounding this game, has actually made it more popular than it ever would have become.
If women have the freedom of choice in today’s society – then can they not choose to get breast surgery, care about their appearance, and yes – be a bit vain.. women who are interested in make-up, hair, boyfriends and so on are still women, and are just as appreciated in society.

Stop telling people what they should think, do, and how they should behave as women. we are in a democratic society.. not a dictatorship!

  46. gretchen July 10th, 2008 8:58 am

Ok – I’ve gone on for a while without responding, but it’s getting a bit ridiculous. An opinion is just that – an opinion. Choosing to express how I feel is not wrong nor am I dictating how others should feel or act. And last time I checked, standing up for what you believe in was still an admirable quality. Maybe it isn’t. /:)

I still think the game is stupid and I wouldn’t waste my time playing it no matter how “fun” it is. I much prefer to have real goals and deal with real life challenges that have lasting effects.

  47. ambi July 12th, 2008 3:55 am

hi i went on miss bimbo site ..and i dnt know why you guys are making such a big deal.. i mean it is stupid to encourage ppl tp get surgery and dress all prissy …but all through the game it tells you > Warning this is only a virtuall game we suggest not to have\do this in real life blah blah blah…

and its not just yong girls either .. if you go into peoples profiles it tell you how old they are and some are in their 20″ and 30″s… and when you subscribe it requires a parents email address ..so if you dont like it …dont go on it ..dah

  48. ambi July 12th, 2008 4:00 am

oh and just another thing about gretchens last reply …

you have your own opinion wich is fine and you said:

I still think the game is stupid and I wouldn’t waste my time playing it no matter how “fun” it is. I much prefer to have real goals and deal with real life challenges that have lasting effects.

BUT WAKE UP THEY CALL IT A VIRTUAL GAME FOR A REASON”

so i dont know why you said ” i rather have real goals that will have a lasting affect>

and little girls dont want to be mature.. and thinking about their life goalsthey want to play dressups and stuff like that so yeah…

  49. Jamie July 12th, 2008 3:56 pm

I’m a player on this game and I think this is being blown out of proportion. They don’t MAKE girls get their bimbos any plastic surgery or diet. It just so happens this site also has a gym to get your bimbo to go to and lose weight, along with healthier food options woth fewer calories like vegetables and water. They even have little notices by such things as the surgeries, tanning, and pills that tell the young puplic that what they were showing wasn’t necissarily the good thing for them to do in real life. It IS just a game!

  50. Ellen July 12th, 2008 4:17 pm

I saw a comment from Gretchen that said:

Unless someone can explain to me what they are “learning” from this game, I hold to my opinion that it is lame and a complete time-waster. I would personally prefer to invest my time in something more worthwhile.

I am now going to explain. When early games were created, “learning” was not what they had in mind. The key word was fun. If you think that you should learn something from all games I suggest you should turn against, dominoes, marbles, hand games, jump rope, etc. as well. You aren’t learning anything there are you? Miss Bimbo was made to have fun. I’m assuming that you’ve complained about barbie too? They promote about the same things, and yet, children who have played with them when they were younger don’t all grow up to get breast implants, facelifts, or take diet pills. If a parent blocks their child from the site, what are they afraid of? The site? Or are they afraid that they aren’t good enough parents, for if they truly were good, they would be confident that their child would stick to what they had been taught. If you would rather invest your time in something worthwhile, than while are you sitting here wining about a site that you don’t like? This is even more of a waste of your time is it not? So leave the site be, and go do something else for clearly we are not worthy enough to waste your time either. Get of your high horse lady, it’s people like you who’re going on about the little problems that are stopping the progress of defeating the bigger ones.

  51. Ellen July 12th, 2008 4:34 pm

    Gretchen Said:

I still think the game is stupid and I wouldn’t waste my time playing it no matter how “fun” it is. I much prefer to have real goals and deal with real life challenges that have lasting effects.

    I say to her again:
If you want to do such things stop being a critic, especially when you don’t know the site well. Go deal with the real life challenges and stop moping about on such trivial things. In our society it is best to keep ones opinions to ones self if they aren’t going to take the criticism that comes with it. And it makes me laugh to know that you still don’t seem to realize that this is a past time. You keep defending yourself with the fact that you could be doing better things, but you’re not. You’re still sitting here, defending yourself, attacking a website, proving your own defense wrong. You CAN’T be doing anything better because you’re right here, right now, on the computer. Not doing anything that has to do with “real life goals” or “real life challenges” so stop pretending you are.

  52. gretchen July 12th, 2008 5:20 pm

It’s not “trivial”. It may not affect every person that plays, but it will have a negative influence on many young, impressionable girls who don’t have caring adults to steer them in the right direction. It is never a waste of time to speak out for what you think is right. Never. [-(

  53. ambi July 12th, 2008 9:34 pm

OH GOD GRETCHEN GIVE IT UP…

one little person like you isnt going to have an affect on the missbimbo site no matter how many times you can play…

i personally dont think you have eva been on the site ..
you know nothing about his site

throught the whole entire levels you have to increase your IQ and eat healthy ..i recomend you go on and get past a few levels before saying stuff about it.. there are practically warnings on every page…

OH AND BYE THE WAY ……………

    OMG NEWSBREAK

  56. tasha July 13th, 2008 3:20 pm

everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but my opinion is that miss bimbo is no big deal i would let my daughter play it when she is older (she is only 8months at min lol ) because I will be teaching my daughter things and we cant go blaming games and music and whatever for everything that happens in this life i have had eating disorders and i will tell u that no stupid game was a part of it i thought i was fat cause of a comment someone made iand then i followed that road off my own back we use games and music to blame everything as our protection and to hide behind as no-one likes to admit that we ourself are to blame like the bitchy comments we make to others or the insults or whatever.
i am a big fan of miss bimbo site and so is my 11 yr old sister we think its a barrel of laughs and nowhere on the site does it say ‘HEY KIDS U SHOULD GET A BOB JOB AND BE REALLY SKINNY’ if we spent our whole lifes never laughing at anything like this because its just not ‘educational’ we would have boring lives
its like people who have killed and have blamed video games have done it for one reason only they get some nice paperwork saying ‘my client didnt remember doing it, it was the computer games fault therefore he just needs help’ oh and they get less time in jail if we banned all games that had any so called ‘message’ in it will people suddenly become amazing nice people will no-one kill anyone and will everyone be happy with who they are HELL NO there will always be problems games like this are like what someone else said ‘tongue in cheek’ at the end of the day people shouldnt protest for it to be closed down or anything those who dont like it dont go on it as simple as that

  57. tasha July 13th, 2008 3:27 pm

soz bob job = boob job lol my bad ;)

  58. tasha July 13th, 2008 3:28 pm

hey where did my comment go i wrote one and its gone

  59. tasha July 13th, 2008 3:34 pm

  60. emma July 15th, 2008 1:46 pm

I think the people that think miss bimbo is a horrible little game are STUPID! i have been on that site for 4 years now and it hasn’t made me get a boob job or try and get super skinny! Its a game where girls can have a laugh and enjoy being called a bimbo! i’m sorry i’m being mean but it’s nothing to be fussed about.

  61. tasha July 15th, 2008 4:28 pm

    i agree with emma lol

and i certainly wouldnt want to look like a character anyway that would be pretty dumb lol

  62. gretchen July 18th, 2008 12:06 pm

I’m really tiring of arguing my point here, but the fact that you are striving to be called a “bimbo” is ridiculous. In case you didn’t know, the name “bimbo” is defined as “a foolish, stupid, or inept person”.

    No thanks. [-(

  63. Autt July 18th, 2008 7:13 pm

okay gretchen, i agree with many of the girls on here thats opinions are not yours… do you want to know why? their points make MORE SENSE SINCE THEY KNOW WHAT THE GAME IS ABOUT. you say that you are tiring of arguing your point, but if you didn’t want to argue a point, then why did you create a controversial topic. Plus as many of the girls have said this MissBIMBO site was made to be funny, and stuff. You have missed the whole point of the site, and because of that your ranting is void. to me at least.

  64. Autt July 18th, 2008 7:14 pm

i think im going to send a girls cant what lecturer over to you so you get the point of what these girls are saying. you apparently aren’t.

  65. tasha July 21st, 2008 3:41 pm

its not about being called a bimbo its the doll that is a bimbo thats like saying to kids you cant play teletubby games coz it makes you a teletubby.

its all supposed to be just a bit of light-hearted fun the simple solution to it is if you like it play it if you dont like it dont play it.

its all a matter of opinion im sure that everyone who dislikes missbimbo are lovely people but that doesnt mean you should blast others who decide to go this site as i play bimbo every day and its quite fun and their forums are brilliant and can be very informative.

the people i have spoken to on missbimbo are lovely and they all look out for each other and listen to each other while playing a good game

  66. Bing Bing July 22nd, 2008 6:01 am

hahahaha gretchen look how bout you go on and try the game of even look up the different levels of the game…

throught the game you have to put on alot of wieght and become a plus size modell …and you have to get your IQ up really high…so i suggest you play a few levels before ridicule this site..

    its just pointless fun

  67. Biiiitch!!! July 22nd, 2008 6:17 am

Girls dont go on the site to be called a bimbo, i know im not one and neither are my friends that use it so why dont you just drop it, yea we know everyone is allowed their own opinion but im sorry your opinion is just lame saying that girls only go on it because they want to be called a bimbo is just stupid seriously, it helps girls learn how to look after their virtual bimbo aka themselves when they are older, like what i mean is that it helps you keep a balanced diet and to eat healthy and makes u exercise and it has warnings everywhere ok and i agree with ambi she is on the right track and i think everyone is getting tired of trying to tell you what miss bimbo is really about and your more than likely annoyed with the site because girls like it and you dont or they arnt like you, so just give it a rest and the stuff you said about goals was a load of crap because its a game not real so you can still have goals geez man

i guess you need to learn the facts Gretchen!

    NOT US!!!

  68. Biiiitch!!! July 22nd, 2008 6:26 am

Errr…The word Bimbo is more or less someone that uses their looks to get what they want but that isnt true, the word Bimbo was actually aimed at males before it was aimed at females, ok so Gretchen what you said isnt really true I guess!

  69. Bing Bing July 23rd, 2008 12:37 am

    Biiiitch!!! is definatley right…

i mean you’d think by now over 100 comments against gretchen have been made so dosnt that tell you somthing gretchen YOU’VE GOT PROBLEMS…
may i just ask gretchen what her job in real life is.. since she now “”"sooo”"” much about goals

  70. Bing Bing July 23rd, 2008 12:39 am

oh and i didnt mean Biiiicht!!! as in your a bitch but her name..

    eh ok

  71. abercrombieautumn July 23rd, 2008 12:43 am

Gretchen does have a job Bing Bing! It says so on another part of the website under another blog space. She doesn’t have problems either. She just wants some modesty. Also, just because people like me and others choose to go on MissBimbo and fail to see the problem because we are mature enough to understand the idea that plastic surgery is bad doesn’t mean that Gretchen doesn’t have a right to her opinion whatever it may be. Also, couldn’t BIIIITCH think of a better name? It’s offensive to many people that go on this site, I’m sure.

  72. Bing Bing July 23rd, 2008 12:48 am

    abercrombieautumn…

BAHAHAHA sure Biiitch could have come up with a beter name but hey at least its creative.. your name isnt that great anyway… and what the hell this convo was never about names…

AND I NEVER EVER SAID GRETCHEN CANT SAY HER OPINION..’
i said her opinions were a bit off track because some of the things she said didnt follow other things she’s said but sheesh man…

and i actually do other stuff during the day so you know i might be on here now but that dosnt mean im going to read every message.sheesh.

  73. Bing Bing July 23rd, 2008 12:56 am

    well how bout this ”

not every one will like this game..but some will..some may thinks the site should be banned.. others will wanna play it all the time..

this arguement will never end anyway..but it gives people somthing to do …

    and take a break

i said shes got problems not …”HEY GRETCHEN UR MENTAL”

you doont even kno what kind of problems i could be talking about

  74. emma July 23rd, 2008 3:34 am

I have been looking at some of the coments on here and yours too gretchen and the people on here that have been on miss bimbo are making more sense than you! this time i’m trying to be mean to you gretchan you don’t understand us!!

  75. emma July 23rd, 2008 3:35 am

I have been looking at some of the coments on here and yours too gretchen and the people on here that have been on miss bimbo are making more sense than you! this time i’m trying to be mean to you gretchan your not even trying to understand us!!!

  76. tasha July 23rd, 2008 4:18 am

i think that gretchen should be allowed her opinion but seriously girl you should really just go have a game trust me you will be addicted in seconds its like having a virtual pet lol but a bimbo instead, its all just fun and games, theres no harm in it give it a try.

  77. gretchen July 23rd, 2008 6:34 am

Just because I’m in the minority does not mean I have “problems”. Women are in the minority on a lot of issues, but that doesn’t mean we all have “problems”. ;)

As for my day job…you’re looking at it. I built this website from scratch 3 years ago and during the day I write posts, answer questions and draw new characters for the shop. My “goal” is to encourage females of all ages to live their dreams and never let anyone tell them they “can’t”.

I also do freelance web and graphics design for my own company and I am the Lead Developer at a company called TCWebsite.com, taking on web design projects as time permits. Yes, I have a full plate and I put in anywhere from 40-60 hours a week depending on my schedule and the schedule of my family.

To be fair, I am not a gamer. My personality type does not lend itself to just playing a game for fun. My kids have a playstation and I can only stand it for about 5 minutes before I get bored. My idea of “fun” is building web sites, designing and marketing my art. I like to do things that have an end result – a goal. ;)

I would much prefer to see girls out making a difference in their communities than playing video games which don’t teach them much about real life and how to be a responsible member of society. If you think that is an impossible goal, take a look around this site – especially the “girls who can” section – there are a lot of girls out there achieving their dreams and making a difference. I am doubtful that playing Miss Bimbo or any other game has contributed to reaching those dreams.

I am not saying that games do not teach. Games are amazing learning tools. But what are you learning? What are you taking away from the game that you can apply to your life right now?

  78. tasha July 23rd, 2008 10:22 am

i get what you are saying but like me for example i have two children and at the moment im doing some research into writing a book on parenting with a few other parents, in september i will be going to college as i also have goals in my life.

i play bimbo every day as a bit of fun to unwind as i do have goals in my life my children were one of them and finishing high scool was another now im returning to college as there are so many things i want to do and other goals i have.

games like this arent really for teaching anything they are a bit of fun, although since the media uproar they have certainly tried to make it more informative, i think there was no need as a game is a game.

my point is dont judge others who spend time on games like this as we arent all treating this game like a goal, its just FUN but we do have own goals in life aswell as playing games we just prefer to seperate the learning from the fun.

i for one am not judging you as i said before you are probably a lovely person i just dont agree with your opinion, so dont treat others that use the site as if they are people with no goals or lives because we do ok.

i respect your opinion and the fact that you have stuck to your opinion but im still sticking to mine too.

  79. abercrombieautumn July 23rd, 2008 1:41 pm

“”this time i’m trying to be mean to you gretchan”"
okay emma, there is no reason to try to be mean to anyone! She has a differing opinion and she wants to keep her kids away from miss bimbo so they can learn a values system. Maybe her kids are younger and she doesn’t want to corrupt them? Ever think of that. Seriously, I see your opinion that Miss Bimbo isn’t bad and I agree…for people that are older and have a good moral code and belief system already…not for young impressional girls.!!

“”BAHAHAHA sure Biiitch could have come up with a beter name but hey at least its creative.. your name isnt that great anyway”"

I realize that this conversation is NOT ABOUT WHAT YOU CALL YOURSELF IN YOUR COMMENTS. I was merely stating that her name could be found offensive, and you never know what age people are coming on here, so you don’t want someone young coming on here and thinking that is a good name. Also, if someone said my name offended them then, I would change it…I picked it so it wouldnt be offensive. Plus calling yourself a female dog is NOT CREATIVE it is a slap in the face to all the women who try to outrun those derogitory words placed to them by men!!

  80. abercrombieautumn July 23rd, 2008 1:43 pm

sorry about the second part of that post, i just had to put how i felt and i realize it has nothing to do with miss bimbo really, but her name hit a string and it hurt…sorry.

also sorry for posting two things in a row. it is annoying and flooding but I felt I needed to appologize.

ALSO to gretchen, I am sorry for the rude comments I posted above. I figure now that you do have a good moral code and that we could all learn something from it. I thank Kel for that eye opener…THANKS KEL!! You too Gretchen, you rock!

  81. tasha July 23rd, 2008 4:59 pm

how come what startd as a debate on here has turned into some huge child playground happy slapping. for gods sake missbimbo is a game in my eyes and others. and to some its not. but for crying out loud now we all have reduced to mocking each other and bullying each other over usernames and who is right and wrong etc. jeez people you live once stop falling out with each other and bloody smile, those that like bimbo go play those that dont go somewhere else easy as that!!!

  82. Bing Bing July 25th, 2008 12:37 am

    HAHAHAHAH

mabey she didnt know what else to write for her name..

    so she wrote biiicht

it doesnt really matter anyway ..

but im really bored so im just on here …
and i dnt really know what to say..
    hehehe bye bye people

  83. gretchen July 25th, 2008 7:43 am

    Thanks abercrombieautumn! :) >-

  84. emma July 29th, 2008 3:02 am

    okay abercrombieautumn
i think i can say whatever i want on this site and your making no sense just like gretchen is. if you think your so smart by picking a little detail out of everybodys say well i will start doing that to you!

  85. abercrombieautumn July 29th, 2008 10:18 pm

Okay emma. True, you can say whatever you want. As can I and anyone else. This topic is not about first amendment right infringements. It’s meant as a persons perspective that we can agree to agree or disagree on. I was merely venting like many people choose to do. And excuse me for actually getting into something and reading what people said. If you feel like doing that back to me. Then maybe you will change my mind, but probably you won’t. Also, just because I don’t share your opinion doesn’t mean that I don’t make sense. That is rude. Also, the first thing you probably will want to pick details out of is that my views used to be on par with your views. Don’t think this makes me easy to sway. I really read into what others were saying to form my own guided hypothesis about Miss Bimbo. So, if you choose to go and get details from my earlier, RUDE, writings, go ahead. I won’t be bothered. I’ll actually be glad that you decided to read over what people are saying.

  86. Bing Bing July 30th, 2008 4:38 am

oh abercrombieautumn… shut up seriously im not trying to be mean or rude but none of your comments follow with each other…and like you can talk about being rude.. you have numerously been rude yourself so dont criticise about people beig rude..and im not mean just ur last comment…you’ve been criticising everything

  87. Bing Bing July 30th, 2008 4:39 am

i meant to say meaning your last comment not mean

  88. emma July 30th, 2008 7:41 am

thanxs bing bing for taking my side! =)

  89. gretchen July 30th, 2008 9:06 am

I expect folks to disagree, but I also expect them to be respectful. Name-calling and telling people to shut up is disrespectful no matter what the situation. If anything needs to be said here it should be giving props to abercrombieautumn for being mature enough to admit that after reading the comments and thinking things through for herself, that she had made an error in judgment and corrected herself. Regardless of whether her opinion agrees with yours, that type of attitude and critical thinking deserves to be commended. =d>

  90. abercrombieautumn July 30th, 2008 1:32 pm

Thanks Gretchen! By the way, sorry if I offended anyone.

  91. Bing Bing July 31st, 2008 1:07 am

gretchen every one name calls at one stage or another … its a part of todays modern language…i dnt kno why you care about how people word things

  92. gretchen July 31st, 2008 8:52 am

That doesn’t make it right. Do you really think it’s “ok” to name call? Just because others are doing something doesn’t mean you should join in and make it a trend. Stand up and be different. Make a positive difference in the world. That’s what this site is all about.

  93. Bing Bing August 1st, 2008 12:50 am

    God!!!!!!!!!!!!

im not making it a trend it became a trend like friken years ago .. Its just the way people talk get over it !!!!

    the whole world does it..

  94. abercrombieautumn August 2nd, 2008 11:47 pm

Not everyone talks like that. I have a lot of cousins that are super religious (I don’t have a problem with them, why should I. Not that anyone asked or cares) and they NEVER call people names, well they do, but they don’t make a trend of it because they are so mild and happen closer to never.

Also, maybe Gretchen cares about how you talk on this site because she created it.

  95. Bing Bing August 3rd, 2008 12:54 am

    gosh once again

    get it through ur head

IM NOT MAKING IT A TREND
HALF OF THE WORLD DOES IT GET OVER IT

  96. abercrombieautumn August 12th, 2008 7:26 pm

you are making it a trend for yourself if you think about it. but this has absolutely nothing to do with miss bimbo anymore so i think I’m just going to stop trying to talk to you. It’s too much of a time waster. I’m not saying YOU’RE a time waster, just this discussion about name calling is.

  97. Bing Bing August 14th, 2008 5:17 am

yeah true its is a time waster lol :P

  98. emma August 23rd, 2008 2:03 pm

    My bimbo died =(
oh and gretchen and abercrombieautumn don’t say anything like ‘well thats good news’ because she was on of my best mates.

  99. abercrombieautumn August 23rd, 2008 3:36 pm

if she was that good of a friend of yours then I wouldn’t insult her death…im not that heartless…XD

  100. emma August 24th, 2008 5:17 am

    Thanks abercrombieautumn

  101. Biiiz955 (mb) August 24th, 2008 11:14 am

    Everyone needs to calm down.

I repeat, everyone needs to calm down.

Has anyone seen a film where someone has been killed or tortured? Almost definitely.
So then once you watched that film you went out and killed someone did you??
Because accordinging to SOME people everything we see will influence us in a BAD WAY.

THIS IS WRONG and is belittling the young SENSIBLE girls who play Miss Bimbo knowing that Miss Bimbo is A GAME>
    A GAME A GAME A GAME A GAME
(if you are a BIMBO winner put MB at the end of your name!!!!!!!!!)

  102. abercrombieautumn August 24th, 2008 6:32 pm

Would you let a little kid watch that film with torture in it. I would hope not! But, this is not about no one being able to go on miss bimbo. Thats not how I view it. I simply believe that maybe younger kids shouldn’t be exposed to it…and that it is ever so slightly demeaning towards women. A lot of things are though and I would like to say you have a good point, and I like how you didn’t insult people…its nice.

  103. Bing Bing August 25th, 2008 12:34 am

ok guys this convo is getting out of hand over nothing theres people fighting over a silly game…

ok well if you dont think this game is suitable then thats fine but dont pput it down especially if you havnt played it…

personally i would let my child play it ..but i would constanly remind him\her that it is a game if the subject arose.

  104. pissed off August 25th, 2008 6:25 am

    WHAT A LOAD OF ****!!
Are you people some sort of retards? I mean bimbo is an insult, it is a GAME and who cares it is your own choice if you play it or not!!
I mean only an idiot would make a forum where she talks about how stupid she thinks a game is. it is like a baby crying when it loses or something. Just because some people need that extra boost to get them through their day and if that boost comes from playing a GAME, then so be it.
i mean i ply it an i have scholarships to 5 exclusive schools it cannot be that mind draining!
if you think that the breast enlargement is offencive in some perverted loser like way then that is your problem! you should not express your views unless they are plausible opinion! or in language that you can understand ‘IF YOU CAN’T SAY SOMETHING NICE DON’T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL’

    **** WIT!!!

  105. gretchen August 25th, 2008 7:25 am

I just love how my differing opinion makes me an “idiot” and that I should not express my views unless they are “plausible opinion”. :-?

That really makes no sense. /:)

  106. Bing Bing August 27th, 2008 12:40 am

GRETCHEN …SHES RIGHT THIS CONVO ISVERY STUPID ..PUT UP A FORUM THAT HAS SOMTHING TO DO WITH REAL LIFE…. YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE SOME I DONT KNOW..AND I DONT CARE…

BUT YOU ARE MAKING A DEAL OUT OF EVERY THING

ok well i gove you hte challenge to get up to at least level 7 and tell me if u still think that the game teaches nothing

  107. abercrombieautumn August 27th, 2008 7:20 pm

Okay, a few things here. I’m not going to even worry about being off topic because, well this is apparently just a ‘take a shot at Gretchen’ posting area. Quite frankly, a lot of you are being rude. It is possible to convey feelings without swearing. It’s also possible to quit posting if you don’t agree. Also, I have played miss bimbo, AND I still think it’s derogitory towards women. I try to make blind accusations, but sometimes I do as many people do, and so forth.

LASTLY, this is to p***ed off. With a mouth like yours, I’m surprised that you could get accepted into a prestigious college. And I sure as heck hope you aren’t going as an English major, because swearing in term papers isn’t too pretty. AND take your own advice, and stop because what you are saying isnt nice either.

Gretchen merely states that she (in a forceful way) doesn’t want to let her kids be exposed to this website, and her view is that she doesn’t like the website. This site won’t change anything, and its HER WEBSITE SO SHE CAN WRITE WHAT SHE WANTS. If she wants to diss M. Bimbo, so be it. You don’t have to come on here.

  108. Ruby August 28th, 2008 3:21 am

OK, I know I said how brilliant Miss Bimbo is a few months ago, but now I’m not so sure. This has got NOTHING to do with thinking it’s “unsuitable” etc, cos I don’t. This is more about how apallingly badly the site is run. Many PAYING bimbos have been banned for no apparent reason, without warning or explanation. The new Graphics are awful, and the site is basically a shambles. I am warning you now.

  109. unicogirl September 3rd, 2008 1:58 pm

the site is not much different from Maxis “The Sims”. so i have no issue with the aspects of Miss / Ma Bimbo.

what is really going to bring the site down, is the fact that the Staff (admin/mods) treat their Members like Trash…no lie. it would not surprise me if i am banned by tomorrow.

the Diet pills are gone, they are now Medicine when the Bimbo is sick. you now have the option of going to a gym to drop weight.

recently the site had a HUGE update. and there were a lot of opinions and a lot of banning, still happening actually. and the Staff gives no other reason but “you Attacked the Staff”
yes that is right. the Mods will find something stupid to ban you for. like “Speaking your mind”

the Members of the site are great, the Staff is horrible. and that will be the downfall of Miss Bimbo, it will be the Bullying by the very people who run the site

  110. harlz September 4th, 2008 1:53 pm

i Have to just say What is Acctually wronge with getting plastic surgery ? its a persons choice because they are not happy with them selves. in my opinion this game is not encouaging girl to get plastic surgery or ogin on a diet

@ unicogirl: The admins and the mods are a lot nicer now. I promise. You still play?

Diet pills are GONE. LONG GONE. You have to exercise in order to slim down your bimbo. Extreme deting doesn’t help much either. Your bimbo can get unhappy due to the lack of food she has. This game doesn’t encourage people to get plastic surgery or breat enhancement. In fact, there’s a warning in red.

The community there rocks as well. So why not sign up yourself and check out the website before you start your rant again?

  112. dioszxah13 October 10th, 2008 5:15 am

Don’t publish anything if you don’t really know what you’re talking about./:)

  113. gretchen October 10th, 2008 10:31 am

That’s like saying don’t caution anyone against driving drunk unless you’ve tried it yourself. [-(

  114. sxygurl101 October 11th, 2008 11:52 am

personally i don’t really give a stuff about who plays it and who doesn’t if someone messes up there lives becuase of plastic surgery then its their problem to deal with not mine!!1

so if u want to play it u can just don’t listen to what othere ppl say god!!!

  115. Emma November 8th, 2008 2:45 pm

Look everyone lets just calm done now. I’m not trying to be on anyones side or upset anyone but evryone has a point here. Can’t explain but i now i have said somethings in the past but i regret that now and i’m very sorry but i mean this topic is nothing to make a deal about. So I advise everyone now to just leave this topic and go to another one. At the end of the day it’s peoples decsion to go on it or let there children or don’t. So let’s all try and make peace now!:)>-

  116. Jessilyn January 28th, 2009 4:24 pm

  119. Alice February 14th, 2009 2:32 am

look i dont know what thw whole fuss is about if people cant tell the dif between life and make belive then thats their|thier parents\caregivers problem for not telling them…and i personally dont think its a bad site nor does it have bad influences..you can excersie , eat healthy, own and look after a pet…and my second reason is because miss bimbo is part of a current trend sure its not the best trend but trends come and go in months miss bimbo wont be as popular as it was 12 months ago…kids grow up find bettter sites..or they show thier freinds at school this site and have a laught at the graphics and then go to another site..its not like kids can be innocent thier whole lives..its not like they sell pot on there sheesh like i was saying about trends they come and they go ….kid grow up ..being emo is in , being emo is out ..skate boarding is in , skateboarding is out , pink is in pink is out ..skimpy is in , skimpy is out ..and i can still go on for whats in and whats out…its a trand let it pass

  120. alice February 14th, 2009 2:36 am

and gretchen why is it that this is a site for girls and ur dissing a girls dress up game …get over it you’ve been doing this since last year give it a rest no one cares anymore

  121. gretchen February 14th, 2009 9:26 pm

I haven’t been “doing this” since last year. I wrote two posts on this topic and people keep commenting on it. What can I say – it’s a popular subject. :-? ?

Hypocritical? Hardly. It’s just sarcasm. /:)

And not speaking up for things that you don’t agree with is ridiculous. What are you living for if you just agree with everything everyone does? Get some morals and some standards. Life is much easier when you have something to believe in. ;)

  122. Cierra February 15th, 2009 3:24 am

For me, Miss Bimbo is a cool site and I like it. I agree with some girls on here about others making a big deal out of nothing. I mean its just a game and theres no need to get all worked up about it. I’m 16 and it dosent make me want to get a breast implant! That is just stupid if a girl actually did that because of some website! Now, I can understand it when little girls played it. I woudnt want my dughter (if I had one) play it. Im just saying that it is JUST A GAME and shouldnt be made a big deal of!

  123. Haley February 18th, 2009 4:29 pm

Hey, I personally think that by this game it turns off girls to get these sort of things done to their bodies. Just because it shows the life style of a girl who needs selfless acts to make them feel better makes me feel proud and good.Because I know I have better morals than to do this stuff to myself. And again personally, I bet half of the girls who play miss bimbo will not get these acts done to their bodies as they get older. I would hate to have the life of a bimbo constsntly changing looks, boyfriends, jobs, and other things that keep a girls life sane. People need to wake up and and relize that its just a game, and soon well be talking about yet another game that promotes unsatisfying morals.

  124. katieee May 26th, 2009 1:24 pm

i think that miss bimbo is okay ,
it always says thing like warning about PS + FK , whats the harm !? :) >-

  125. Emily June 11th, 2009 12:52 am

This is so stupid. I go on Miss Bimbo all the time. It’s not encouraging people to get breast implants. That’s like saying Grand Theft Auto is encouraging you to kill people. Most of the girls play Miss Bimbo because they like to dress up their own unique character in cute clothes. I mean, come on; there’s even a warning on the surgery pages that tells you to talk about surgery with your parents if you want to get surgery. Other girls play it because they like a good challenge. It’s pretty hard to get through all of the levels without buying the the Bimbo Dollars. Most girls don’t even use the banking system. It’s a challenging game that lets you play dress up at the same time. It’s not like you’re going to stop them from learning or wanting breast implants(if they want them). This whole “Miss Bimbo is bad for young girls” thing is stupid. If you don’t like the website, DON’T GO ON IT! It’s really that simple.

  126. hinding emo June 12th, 2009 3:19 pm

what the FU(l7??? ITS A GAME LAY OFF OVERLY STUPID PPL ITS SAYS ITS DANGROUNS AND BAD!! ont he boob job thing nad diet pills??? omg!! EVERY1 nos not to do them! its a game!!! back off

  127. gretchen June 12th, 2009 4:27 pm

If “EVERY1 nos not to do them!” then why are diet pills big business in real life and why are there websites where women can apply to get free boob jobs? /:)

  128. randomizer June 17th, 2009 12:33 am

i play miss bimbo and stumbled upon this site looking for miss bimbo cheats.i like miss bimbo, but dont play it 24/7 like some people suggest, and i dont think it encourages people to get boob jobs (if it does encourage someone its their choice, they rnt very smart and obviously cant decide things for themselves).
im not actually here to make an argument im just here to say that this string of comments has been going on for over a year! LOOK AT UR SELVES dont u think its a bit of a waste of time.
Gretchen- i can see y u would fell how u do about miss bimbo but have u even played it (dont judge something u know nothing about and have no experience with)? also u have said that u think its a waste of time. well isnt arguing about some site u dont even play a waste of time?
also how u said ‘then why are diet pills big business in real life and why are there websites where women can apply to get free boob jobs?’. it someones choice if they want to get a boob job or diet. if ur so against surgery, boob jobs, tummy tucks etc, and dieting y dont u start some sort of workshop or something that helps women and girls to feel secure about their bodies instead of just complaining on ur website? go out into the real world and make a difference!

sorry if im being offensive :D

  129. randomizer June 17th, 2009 12:34 am

oh and please dont send me junk or spam or anything. u better not b some sort of hacker. :@

  130. randomizer June 17th, 2009 12:35 am

    feel* oops bad spelling soz

  131. gretchen June 17th, 2009 12:33 pm

I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs, but I think those things are bad habits. Should I not speak up about them? I’ve never tried a cigarette, or alcohol or illegal drugs either, but that doesn’t mean I can’t have an opinion on them. You don’t have to try something “just for the experience” either. That’s a load of crap. It’s ok to stand up for what you believe in every once in a while. :)

Yes, I am a hacker, but don’t worry I’m not coming after you. ;) Thanks for posting. Everyone’s opinion is valuable.

  132. Kiara June 19th, 2009 1:54 am

This site has is okay to me but i feel that to be on this site u will have to be at an age where you know not to do that stuff and its just a little fun stupid game ill say 14 and up because if your younger u get influenced more and people 14 and up wil be more mature and know right from wrong i personally know its just a lil game and u will never catch me gettin boob surgery and starving my self besides i love my curves :)

  133. camie10165 June 26th, 2009 11:25 pm

heres a list off things that is wrong with the site

they encourage little kids to get breast enlargement. the bimbo makes girls feel bad about themselves that they do not look like a bimbo so it encourages them to get breast enlargement and be a perfect barbie doll

i do not get the part off paying money just to get bimbo dollars so you could buy clothes and all that crap.when kids should be saving up there money for something real and is not on the computer.and what if you forget your pass or something or your account gets hacked that would be a waste of your money

another thing i hate about the site is the scouring.its discusting.they tell you to scrub until you have perfect white skin.one day these kids are going too look like micheal jackson. they should be proud off themselves and not want to change the way they look of thmselves.

maybe kids should get on a website like millsberry or meez maybe ba…. not barbie girl . when i think about the white barbie it makes me upset(not being racist).whenever i play barbie with my babie sister she always picks the white barbie and says the black one is ugly and she is black

sometimes i like the white one cause off the long preety hair but that doesnt mean i feel bad about myself.

Your Beautiful In Your Own Way………..Belive it

  134. gretchen June 27th, 2009 9:02 am

Camie – thank you for commenting. You brought up some points I had not heard of before like “scouring”. That is insane to say the least.

Thank you for pointing out the alternatives as well. I like it when positive choices are available and we can steer people toward those. :) >-

  135. shry July 1st, 2009 12:42 am

I think this is ridiculous. It’s just a web game. Just something to amuse yourself with. Wnyone who wants breast surgery after playing this is an idiot. If you haven’t played it then don’t say anything about it. There are no diet pills. To loose weight you go to the gym.

Besides they have a disclaimer on the surgery page. Seriously though you can’t go blaming childrens games for what’s wrong in the world.

Here’s a bit of advice: Suck it up and Get over it.

  136. gretchen July 1st, 2009 9:00 am

I will not “suck up” or “get over”anything that puts women or girls in a degrading light. [-(

  137. shry July 1st, 2009 12:24 pm

You are a complete idiot. Everything you say is just bull crap. You ought to just try it. Damn, stop being so stupid and stubborn.

  138. gretchen July 1st, 2009 1:44 pm

I hope someone says that same thing to you the next time you refuse to do something because it goes against what you believe. Or if you refuse to take drugs or do something equally as stupid. /:)

And for the record, the term “Bimbo” means “an attractive but empty-headed young woman”. Not exactly what young women should aspire to be. ;)

  139. shry July 1st, 2009 7:36 pm

I think I’ve told you this before, but let me say it again. It is just a game. Comparing a game with drugs is just ridiculous.

And if being an air-head is what it takes to be a bimbo, well then you’re a bimbo.

  140. kel1 July 1st, 2009 9:34 pm

Yeah, Gretchen is such an airheaded bimbo…I mean, only airheads design their own websites and t-shirts and start their own successful businesses and achieve their dreams, right? Riiiight. ;)

Apparently, some people are so addicted to this game, they feel the need to insult others who don’t approve of it. I’d say that’s some behavior that could use some professional help.

  141. gretchen July 1st, 2009 9:43 pm

Yeah I think the point was entirely missed. Until all women choose to stand up against being degraded and accepting derogatory names such as “bimbo” as being ok, then women will never receive the respect we deserve.

  142. shry July 1st, 2009 9:50 pm

Um Kel1 It’s just a game. Seriously if you’re addicted to it that’s your problem. And that person needs to get help.

    Gretchen:
Pkease if Bimbo is the worse term you can think of, then you’re screwed. And if you want respect you can’t just say I’m a woman I need respect. You have to go out into the wide world and get it. Respect starts with yourself. It’s just a game, it’s not going to stop you from respecting yourself.

  143. gretchen July 1st, 2009 10:02 pm

Shry – you are missing the whole point. I realize it’s “just a game” but it sends the wrong message. You could name it anything you want and I would still be against it. It’s planting ideas in girls heads. Right now they may not think anything of it, but in the future they might remember something they did in the virtual world that worked and think they should try it in the real world.

And on the flip side – for those who think they are “too smart” to ever have plastic surgery or use diet pills, etc. in the real world. Think about this…by accepting this game as an ok way to stereotype or portray women, you are just reinforcing that stereotype to everyone else and inviting them to continue to use that term in a derogatory fashion and disrespect women. Think about that.

As for the respect issue…I’m not asking for it. I’ve already been “out into the wide world” and gotten it. You’re looking at my “earnings” right now. :) >-

  144. shry July 1st, 2009 10:10 pm

Gretchen- Honestly no one is going to look at women in a derogatory way just because of a game.

  145. gretchen July 1st, 2009 10:14 pm

You’re free to believe what you want. :-? ?

  146. kel1 July 1st, 2009 10:16 pm

We could say that same thing about “harmless jokes” that are told in the workplace: “No one looks at them differently because of a little ol’ (fill in the blank).”

It is part of a greater whole. It is a mentality that creeps in and begins to find these things acceptable. It desensitizes us over time to accept these terms and portrayals of women as “normal” when they aren’t. As we begin to, little by little, accept the objectification of women in these ways, we begin to condone greater injustices against women as well. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen over time. When girls are at impressionable ages, especially during adolescence (when they are as yet unsure of “who they are” in their own eyes and in the eyes of others), “harmless” little games and jokes can and do color the way they will begin to see themselves.

  147. gretchen July 1st, 2009 10:17 pm

Yeah – what Kel said. :D

  148. shry July 1st, 2009 10:21 pm

    Kel- That’s crap.

  149. gretchen July 2nd, 2009 10:53 am

Crap – really? You ought to check into women’s history and read some of the psychology behind the women’s movement. There is scientific evidence to back that up. Try telling pioneering feminists that their research is “crap”. :-w

  150. shry July 2nd, 2009 9:04 pm

Yes I have checked in tho the psycology behind the women’s movement. And I would tell thos pioneering feminists the same thing if they were acting over critical on a game.

  151. gretchen July 2nd, 2009 9:05 pm

    Good luck with that. /:)

  152. Jessica July 2nd, 2009 9:43 pm

Ahh…but if we shot ALL the stupid people, how many citizens would there be left in the world?

To Shry: If you think Gretchen is overreacting on a game, do you think women were overreacting when they fought for the right to vote?

  153. shry July 2nd, 2009 9:47 pm

I think voting is a lot more serious than a game.

  154. gretchen July 2nd, 2009 9:51 pm

I think indoctrinating young minds is just as serious as voting. ;)

  155. shry July 2nd, 2009 10:52 pm

This doesn’t affect most “young minds” as you put it.Girls aren’t being led astray by this. Once again, it’s just a game, not a way of life.

  156. gretchen July 3rd, 2009 9:45 am

That’s your opinion and that’s fine.

  157. kel1 July 3rd, 2009 1:07 pm

Even the most liberal feminist site on the web agrees with you, Gretchen. http://www.feministing.com/archives/008881.html

Looks like there’s some common ground on this issue.

And this one is interesting, too: http://www.medindia.net/news/Miss-Bimbo-Website-Unhealthy-for-Girls-With-or-Without-Diet-Pills-35112-2.htm :

“Lisa Machoian, a Boston-based psychotherapist and former Harvard lecturer who specializes in teenage girls, said she is troubled by the game.

“I was very alarmed and appalled because the message is disturbing,” said Machoian, who chafes at what she calls “a derogatory term” for women. The term often implies to a female who is focused on fashion and looks, but is deemed to be short on brains.

Machoian said it was positive to take diet pills off the site, but that the rest of the site can be just as damaging to girls.

“This is actively promoting being a bimbo, it’s not promoting a girl becoming successful or getting educated … if girls begin to compare themselves to celebrities or ‘bimbos’ they become very focused on looks, and they can start having eating disorders and low self-esteem.”

Addie Swartz, who heads US-based educational software firm Beacon Street Girls, said Miss Bimbo goes beyond the experience of Barbie dolls and other virtual reality websites for children.

“It sets back women by 50 to 100 years,” Swartz said.

Although girls have long played with dolls, she said it is more worrisome when girls create and identify with a virtual reality character.

“If you are naming your persona and caring for your avatar, they are an extension of yourself, and that is far more troubling than playing with a doll,” she said.

She said the site appears to focus on “bust size, waist size and dieting to to get the billionaire boyfriend — it’s destructive to these girls.”

  158. kel1 July 3rd, 2009 1:07 pm

But I guess Harvard lecturers, psychotherapists, and educators are “full of crap,” too. ;)

  159. Vicky July 5th, 2009 9:37 am

I enjoy fashion bimbo.com and just because u play on it doesnt mean u will become a bimbo or get plastic surgery and stuff, when I was little I wasnt interested in barbie dolls or that kind of thing BUT I like playing on bimbo cos its fun. I dont take the game seriously like wanting boob jobs or anything but its like watching a film if someone kills someone in the film you dont neccacerily kill someone do u! wen i was about 6 i liked to watch some scary films ( they didnt scare me cos i new they wernt real) young children these days get taught important stuff by their parents like not to beleive everything of the tv or to get boob jobs without thinking it through, u may be surprised but young children ARE smart they just dont understand some things and dont always think about wot they will do later but they might think wots going on NOW. its just a game and there a really nice girls who play on it too because they look out for eachother and one girl felt really depressed and felt like her life was over but the other girls helped her and she is happy again.

THE GAME HELPS U TOO! LOOK ON THE FORUMS AND U GET GOOD ADVICE OF OTHER GIRLS!

  160. shry July 5th, 2009 6:17 pm

    I 100% agree with vicky.

  161. zina July 6th, 2009 2:11 am

i like miss bimbo but i cant hind a boyfriend everyday i tried how many days did ur bimbo wanted to find a boyfriend

  162. shry July 6th, 2009 5:35 pm

it only took me one day,but there’s a 1/3 chance you will find one. Just keep trying.

  163. celisze July 7th, 2009 9:34 am

miss bimbo doesnt encourage it and little girl are not even playing the game its mostly wemon 24-40 or younger teen but no one under 15 and if they are its a small percentage

  164. shry July 7th, 2009 9:14 pm

    celisze is right.

  165. Vicky July 12th, 2009 6:13 am

    I agree with celisze too.

  166. tia July 25th, 2009 7:58 pm

1st of all miss bimbo is a complete waste of time, but isn’t that the point?ok for example, when ur bored, u choose to either watch tv or play gmaes online. bimbo is just one of those games where your free to have fun. when kids are watch tv, and u dont want them to watch anything bad, it is still gonna happen! just this morning i was watching cartoons with my little sister and comercials came on, what was i supposed to do! any way you try to shelter them there gonna be exposed to it one way or another. miss bimbo is not teaching them to do plastic surgery, or face lifts, PEOPLE ARE ACTING LIKE MISS BIMBO CREATED PLASTIC SURGERY AND BOOB IMPLANTS! WELL, THEY DIDN’T! THEY WERE DOING THE SAME THINGS WAT SOCIETY PUTS OUT IN THE WORLD TODAY, FEEDING YOUNG (AND OLD) MINDS THAT U HAVE TO LOOK A CERTAIN WAY TO PLEASE PEOPLE. THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT IN THIS WORLD THAN A SMALL INOCENT GAME, LIKE PEOPLE STARVING! HOW ABOUT THAT? and mabey all you ingorant people should check out the site once in a while. they let bimbos dress any way they like, sometimes i see goths and sporty people, so it is not about some prissy bimbos or blonde ditz-balls who dress slutty all the time. and when a bimbo wins a challenge, they earn bimbo attitude which if u knew more about the site u would understand that bimbo attitude is not money to go get plastic surgery or buy anything for that matter! so this website called Girls Can’t What? really needs to stop bashing other sites before they get to actually experince it.P.S. all of this IS NOT THAT SEIROUS!!!!!!

  167. Lisa July 26th, 2009 9:06 pm

I agree completely, tia. Also, I think, in a way, miss bimbo encourages healthy eating habits because the website gives a healthy weight for each bimbo and states that the bimbo will get sick if she goes too far below or above it. It encourages a healthy weight.

  168. tia July 27th, 2009 4:22 pm

    thanks Lisa

  169. shry August 1st, 2009 12:27 am

I agree with both Tia and Lisa.

  170. Valasia September 1st, 2009 4:18 pm

As a feminist I beleive that if a woman wants to be skinny, plastic, arm candy, then she has as much a right to do that and be respected for doing that as someone who doesn’t. Yes agree it’s wrong to tell girls that this is what they HAVE to do, or that this is the only way to be liked, but that isn’t what Miss Bimbo does.

Also, I never remember as a young girl having trouble thinking I was supposed to look like barbie, or had to force myself to look like cartoon paper dolls. Don’t people teach the different between not just fantasy and reality, but reality and art?

  171. gretchen September 1st, 2009 4:42 pm

Yes but where is the modern art that more closely reflects “real women” and not the male ideal?

  172. Valasia September 1st, 2009 5:46 pm

I’m not even sure what you are talking about. I’m talking about the fact that Barbie was based on a dress form mannequin, and was supposed to have exaggerated features, and most paper dolls are cartoonish, which rarely look realistic.

Basically the point that these are NOT real, and that no one should expect to look anything like that, and if they do, then they have missed a key piece of education which affects just about every aspect of their lives.

  173. Valasia September 1st, 2009 5:48 pm

Just as a side note, I’m really sick of being told that being a strong, independent woman, and a beautiful woman that men are attracted too are mutually exclusive. You can choose to be the “male ideal” or choose not… but it is a CHOICE.

  174. gretchen September 1st, 2009 6:53 pm

My question was a bit sarcastic…meaning you just don’t see cartoons or popular works of art these days that reflect real women. That’s one thing I try to be careful of when I draw the Girls Can’t WHAT? characters.

  175. shry September 1st, 2009 9:55 pm

    I agree with Valasia

  176. Sarah September 9th, 2009 3:12 pm

Hey?!?!?!? Miss bimbo is awesome!!! It doesn’t encourage you to do those things, it’s just virtual, and FYI: That’s one of my favorite websotes and it’s like the only thing I’ve go on all week. SO YOU JUST BETTER PUT YOUR HANDS OFF THE KEYBOARD AND START WRITING ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE IN THE WORLD LIKE THE DYING PEOPLE IN AFRICA!!!!!!! IT’S NOT LIKE THERE’S A BIG SIGN IN THE WEBSITE THAT SAYS GET BOOB SURGERY AND YOU’LL BE HOT FOR LIFE!!!! THEY ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET OFFF YOUR BUT AND BE YOURSE;F. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT AND HAS THERE OWN STYLE, SO DON’T GO AROUND JUDGING STUFF. NOW I’M GOING TO PUT THIS WEBSITE ON MY DON’T GO TO THESE WEBSITES PAGE!

    ~ Trendsetter1 (MY BIMBO NAME)

  177. gretchen September 9th, 2009 3:18 pm

Of course they don’t put up big signs. Just like pushers don’t put up big signs that tell kids to smoke or do drugs. They make it look glamorous and safe. They gradually get you used to seeing it and talking about it until your resistance is finally minimized and you forget why it was ever “bad” in the first place.

    Don’t be fooled. ;)

  178. shry September 9th, 2009 8:31 pm

I think you are the only one fooled Gretchen.

  179. gretchen September 9th, 2009 8:40 pm

    How so? /:)

  180. shry September 13th, 2009 8:11 pm

You honestly think this game corrupts young girls?

  181. gretchen September 13th, 2009 8:13 pm

    Yup.

  182. shry September 13th, 2009 8:21 pm

    That’s how so.

  183. Holliie..x October 4th, 2009 10:18 pm

    Heeey!
I just wanna say that on the Miss Bimbo site it says were you can get face lifts and boob jobs that it is a serious thing in real life and the UK doesnt let people under the age of 18 to have these operations done. I use this site and i dont think it influences girls to have plastic surgery or anything like that. This site may addict some girls but the ones that have common sense now whats right and wrong. And from the people that use Miss Bimbo and get addicted and like retarted/mentally challenged lol. That they should be proud of what they look like and they dont need to have plastic surgery and other shit to look BEAUTIFUL.

If you would like to say anything to me your welcome to send me an email.

    From Hollie..x

    :)

What you are saying is totally wrong sure they do encourage you to be the most famous and happiest bimbo but that is on the computer…..if you actually did your research you would know that it says at the clinic in the city that breast surgery and facelifts and all of those things are serious things and should be thought about…..and for the diet pills they are not “diet” pills thay are pills to keep your bimbo healthy. Man all of you people are the same you think that this website makes who ever joins it a bimbo but it dont!!!!!!!!!!!!!GOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH

  185. Heather November 14th, 2009 2:17 pm

People aneed to do some research

  186. Katie November 30th, 2009 9:57 am

God, come on in the grand scheme of things is this one of the worlds great evils? this feed reminds me of the control freaks that changed the words of humpty dumpty from they couln’t put humpty together again to they could put humpty together again. have some faith in the intelligence of the next generation. get off your feminist pedistol and get real.

  187. ellie December 4th, 2009 4:08 pm

tbh —its just a game and is takin the ‘micky’ the weight thing is like a pet in a game, so you dont starve her — which promotes eating actually…. and the weight now is like 9 stone — not thin but kinda normal also it premotes inteligence and the jobs are varing. the bf’s are just for money — like an apartment which is for gaming perposes….

the sergery i dont like actually the boobs arer too big, butit does have a warning tho!

also the fashion is differeing and the rest is the fun of the challenge. i also refuse to belive that a game has that much power — but there shud b an age limit to young girls who are susseptable…. like you shud b 14ish

i luv my bimbo as a pet — the missions are challenging n the cloaths are good — im 17 tho

and sorry no ranting intended — peeps can choose to play the game or not — see individuallity right there xx

  188. JKJKJK December 5th, 2009 8:40 pm

Omg first of all Miss Bimbo is kind of a fun game and im like 17
i mean i would complain about barbies
I dont see the big deal there is a big difference between miss bimbo and barbies
every girl wants to model themselves after a barbie
miss bimbo is a game on the computer they think nothing of
a barbie is something they can feel and touch so in a little girls mind they feel it is a reality
and dont act little girls now a days are so innocent
they are living in an adult world i wouldnt be surprised if they knew wat a boob job is
I think parents shouldnt be afraid of letting kids know now wats ahead of them

  189. ellie December 6th, 2009 6:11 am

    i agree xx

  190. Ashly December 8th, 2009 8:07 pm

    I totally agree with u!
I made 12 bimbo’s…They all died! And dieting is horrible for girls my age.(I’m 12)I play missbimbo(Well found it)becuase I was bored. But I saw the breast surgery thing…I was like OMG who would do that!?
So for now on!I’m quiting missbimbo!I bet an man made that site! And Bimbo was called to girls a long time ago. There r still bimbo’s walking around…But this is encorging more young kids to do what their bimbo is doing!I never thought an simple game can change the way an child can think.Ive seen 20 yr olds playing that game! And missbimbo should be shut down!If ur with me with this, we should all work together and shut missbimbo down! All these girls r changing! They r gorguse in their own way!If ppl keep making sites like this one…Parents little girls wont be them anymore…They wont be the sweet little girl they always knew…She wont be the little girl who wants to be an princess when she grows up…She wont be the little girl who knows whats right from wrong…She wont be an little girl anymore. She might ask this question one day.”Mom, dad!Can I have breast surgery…please!”She might not even have bewbs yet!And still wants to have it!And she might end up vane!Asking for more money!Stealing!Taking credit cards to make her Bimbo more perfect!…Or making herself more like her bimbo. So thanks for putting this site up!

I LUV THIS SITE!!!!Thanks for making me realize something!U r an life saver!XD

  191. gretchen December 8th, 2009 9:02 pm

Thanks Ashly – sounds like you have your head screwed on straight. ;) Glad you like this site.

  192. Ingrid (14y.) December 9th, 2009 12:38 pm

Wow. Some people are already starting to get obsessed. By shouting and saying that everything is perfect in miss bimbo, it just makes you seem mentally challenged. I myself play miss bimbo, usually every day, but it’s not my whole life and I can’t say it’s a perfect site either. And a person who understands all the things properly (like the breast operation) is not likely to actually do the same things in real life. I think that miss bimbo is not worth discussing. It’s not such an important thing.

  193. Morgie December 26th, 2009 3:33 pm

It’s a game! It does NOT say “Hey, girls, go out an get plastic surgery!”

Gretchen, I fully and completely respect your opinion, but I feel like I have to say something.

Have you actually PLAYED the game? It encourages girls to be intelligent and healthy. The provide warnings about getting plastic surgery in real life.

The website also promotes healthy eating and exercise. There is a gym so the bimbos can stay in shape.

If anybody goes out and gets plastic surgery or starves themselves BECAUSE of this site, that’s their problem. Plenty of people have done those things without ever going on the site.

Isn’t this website about making girls feel better and more confident about themselves? Sometimes women get plastic surgery so they CAN feel better about themselves. I wouldn’t reccomend it, but that’s the way it is.

  194. gretchen December 26th, 2009 3:48 pm

It’s important to note the time period of when I posted this. My original post came out shortly after the game was first launched. It underwent a LOT of criticism by many different groups…parents, feminists, etc. The creators of Miss Bimbo issued a “statement” soon after and then proceeded to make several changes to the game. The Miss Bimbo game you are playing today is vastly different than the original game of nearly 2 years ago.

I stand by my statements which refer to the original game concepts and I have no intention of ever playing it. I do not need to “try” something when I can make a reasonable decision based on outward effects of the item in question.

  195. Rebecca December 26th, 2009 4:48 pm

Okay, Im not trying to insult people who really like the game or anything but, you cannot deny the fact that the game is making kids call themselves bimbos (Wikipedia;; physically attractive but unintelligent woman). Its not exactly thelling them to go to school and study.

I play the game myself and I actually like it by the way, and I also think that it wouldnt really influence girls that much but it may influence children 13 and younger….

  196. Rebecca December 26th, 2009 4:53 pm

And just as a reply to Gretchen, you DO need to have expierience of the new game or else your comment is invalid, pointless and stupid. If you have no intention of playing the game then you are not exactly making a valuable input in this forum because you have no knowledge of the subject. You could at least try the game or stop telling people that it is “indoctrinating young minds” and that its having a “negative influence”.
Its a good game, and it is NOT going to make children go out and get plastic surgery or go on dieting pills. Thats a pretty bimbo-ish conclusion to come to.

  197. gretchen December 26th, 2009 5:04 pm

I also tell my children not to do drugs. Guess I should go smoke some crack so I can validate my claim, eh? /:)

  198. BexiiBaybee_Ox December 26th, 2009 5:16 pm

Ehhh, Smoking Craic I sBad For You :-” Sorry Now Love, But If Your Not Going To Even TRY MissBimbo, then NO ONE has to listen to you complain about how much you het it. :-@ Your just being stupid, saying that you hate Miss Bimbo becuase its so bad for children. Your so single minded that you cant even try to see the other side of the situation ~X( NO ONE IS ACTUALLY GOING TO GET A BOOB JOB OR DO SOMETHING STUPID BECAUSE OF THIS GAME8-|%-( :-tTell me exactly why you think this game is going to influence people?:-?? Im kinda interested in how someone can be so single minded as to not be able to see both sides of an argument…..

[[And btw, this website is kinda pointless because i have NEVER been told I cant do something becuase Im a girl. This is the 21st century. Gender Discrimination is OVER ]]

  199. gretchen December 26th, 2009 5:28 pm

I’m hardly single minded. That is a lame argument to say I have to “try something” in order to understand it which is why I use the crack argument. I don’t have to try crack to know it’s bad. I can see the effects of it by simple observation. Miss Bimbo is no different than any other media stereotype out there. As stated above, Bimbo means “unintelligent woman”. I WILL NOT play a game that puts women in a derogatory light – even if it’s “just for fun”. I see the effects of “bimbo” stereotyping just by observing the effects.

And to say this site is pointless means you haven’t read anything on it. It’s full of stories of women who face gender discrimination right here and now. Just because time has moved forward does not mean all is right in the world. There is still a wage gap for starters and if you read any other feminist sites you may have discovered that a woman recently was “outed” as using a male pen name because she was getting paid more when her clients thought they were hiring a man. As a woman she was offered much less for the same jobs. Now tell me things are fair in this 21st Century.

  200. BexiiBaybee_Ox December 26th, 2009 6:34 pm

Okay, Now I understand your argument. You won’t play because you won’t be stereotyped as a Paris-Hilton like “unintelligent woman”. But, just because you use a game called Miss Bimbo, does not necessarily mean that anyone is going to consider you as unintelligent.
I understand if you don’t want to play the game becuase it just doesnt interest you, or becuase you have strong feelings about some of the parts of the game but you should not be saying it is a bad game because of this. There are hundreds of people who play, and enjoy the game so maybe you should lighten up a little. :) Its not that bad. Have you got any evidence of anyone who has been really influenced by the game and done something stupid? Im logged into the game right now and just went to a nughtclub and got a boyfriend (His name is David Aselof and hes an old actor. I just thought that was funny:))) but that doesnt mean that Im going to go out and randomly try to pick up guys. :d Becuase I know better than to go talking to strange men. The game does not ever say that users should apply the game to their real life, infact it gives many warnings.

And I understand that maybe gender discrimination does occur, Maybe I just havent expierienced it and none of the people I know have that Im aware of, So I will admit I was wrong to say that this website is pointless. It probably gives many women the courage to stand up and fight for equality. :d

  201. BexiiBaybee_Ox December 26th, 2009 6:38 pm

    **nightclub :d

  202. gretchen December 26th, 2009 7:15 pm

Yes but please understand – this game was CHANGED in many ways since my original post. It is because of many other bloggers, parents and women’s groups that the game was altered from it’s original design.

And my main reason for not participating is that I don’t care to support a game whose title is a derogatory term for women. Why keep promoting the word “Bimbo”? By doing that, you make it easier for the term to be accepted. Just think about it. ;)

  203. Morgie December 27th, 2009 4:28 pm

Bimbo does in fact mean “unintelligant woman”, but the game puts a lot of emphasis on being INTELLIGENT, so it’s slightly ironic.

  204. Bridget January 3rd, 2010 10:14 am

OK I’ve read through a lot of these comments and some of them are a wee bit mean. Good for you Gretchen for persuing your point of view. everyone is entitled to it and some of the comments here are far from constructive. I don’t have children I haven’t even left school yet and yes I have a bimbo on the miss bimbo website. I go on it every so often and it is good fun but i definately don’t strive to be called a bimbo. I like the fashion and the challenges to do better in life. I can’t remember what level I’m on but i think it’s like 18 or 19 and right now I’m working towards becoming a journalist and buying a “house” for me and my “patner”. I completly understand the dangers of cosmetic surgery and would never ever get anything like that done myself but if people are cpmplaining about it promoting it there are far from being right. This is the warning under each description of each cosmetic procedure “Warning : this is a virtual game and plastic surgery in real life is a serious consideration. UK law forbids breast surgery for anyone aged 18 or under. Please seek advice from friends, family or experts should you wish to discuss boob jobs or any concerns/issues raised whilst playing the Miss Bimbo game.” If a 10 year old girl reads this and thinks this is what I want from life then you should first look at her parents and social background before attacking this site. And you certaintly don’t take diet pills to keep you skinny one of the challenges in the lower levels is to become a healthy plus size model! As far as i know you can’t even buy diet pills as part of the game. I am the complete opposite of the character I have on the site but I never strive to look like her that’s just stupid as she is a cartoon. The first time I heard of it and became interested in playing was when I heard it on the news because of the people speaking out about it! It’s just a game! when I first visited this site I thought it was genius and something I’m really interested in is sexism in today’s society’s but telling girl’s that playing on this site is wrong or whatever kinda contradicts the meaning Girl’s Can’t WHAT? Play Miss Bimbo?

  205. dfbdasbhaset January 3rd, 2010 10:42 am

lol i go on the website cos its funny.

actually its good influence cos you have to go to the library to get IQ!

im joking. dumb people say that. its a really bad site.

  206. SARAH January 10th, 2010 3:53 pm

    1. First of all i dont think miss bimbo is bad cuz if it was then it wont show a libary it’ll show suttin else to tell u that aww you dont need a libary in your life u need a stripper club to gain more iq points in strippin.
2.Also they send an email to your parents to ask them is it ok for your child then ur parents will ask you and then they will keep an eye on you so dats the point and it makes some girls feel good about the beauty they can put on dolls and they aint beautiful so they still have a bit of hope

  207. Breezy January 18th, 2010 4:52 pm

Miss Bimbo is just a game and it has a comment on it that says it’s just a game and plastic surgery should be taken very seriously. i think people are taking it too personally.

  208. Ellie January 26th, 2010 4:51 pm

    Omg like come onn
Its a gane. I’ve played it and its fine. Its just a little bit of fun? Ever heard of it? Like, you just go around pretending to be a bimbo! What’s so bad about that? They even have messgaes on the website telling you the warnings of doing this stuff in real life. You guys need to take a chill pill. Loads of guys play war games and stuff. Doesnt mean their going to start a war does it? NO.
If you’re going to say miss bimbo is sending out the wrong messgae, then look at COD and all those other games because if miss bimbos bad then so are they!

  209. Liew January 31st, 2010 10:51 pm

    Okay well…
ive read alot of these comments and hoestly,i’ve played miss bimbo and i think that its a great game.it’s fun and you get to help your bimbo become smarter and stay healthy by working out.Like alot of people said “Miss bimbo is just a game and just because you play it doesn’t mean that your gonna do everything thats on it. i’ve been plaing it for about 2 years and i haven’t done any of those things.

  210. Lennah February 1st, 2010 6:18 pm

Okay I would like to ay miss bimbo isnt a bad site because it is the girls choise to become like “bimbos” some girls on the site doent even know what a bimbo is so stop hatin on a site that is fun. You can be a future designer and go on the site to dress up people and make them as pretty as you want to. Miss Bimbo again isnt a bad influence to little girls unless they decide to become a “bimbo”. so back off the site

  211. Shelly February 9th, 2010 7:43 pm

I love the game and you sound like a strict parent. I am totally girly and I want to be a fashion designer and I only go on the game for fun, not because it has plastic surgery. I guess it is kinda weird, but I am NOT getting any ideas from it and am totally responsible.

  212. andeleigh February 10th, 2010 11:31 am

i have had miss bimbo for about a year. i absolutely love it. it is not supposed to teach girls to have big boobs and diet its just a game!!

  213. marie March 9th, 2010 5:38 am

hate to break it to you gretchen, but most of us have more to life than sitting at a computer all day posting blogs about stuff no one cares about! get a life! seriously! its a childs game and you shouldnt get so worked up about it! you must be such a desperate loser to actually have time to write a blog on this. miss bimbo is amazing and guess hwat… im a size 16 and miss bimbo gives me a chance to moke those stick thin girls and just muck around! get over it you isiot!

  214. gretchen March 9th, 2010 8:58 am

Maria – I don’t sit at a computer all day blogging about “stuff no one cares about.” I have a fabulous job as a web developer and I also play drums in a band. Girls Can’t WHAT? is something I squeeze into my schedule when I have time. ;)

And since I don’t have a lot of time, I’m going to just repost what I said a few comments back and close this thread. No one seems to be reading it all the way through and trying to understand the issue anyway. It is a waste of my time to keep repeating myself and be insulted in the process. Why we can’t have reasonable discussions without name calling is beyond me. :-? ?

But I guess if you like to play a game called “Miss Bimbo” where Bimbo = Unintelligent Woman… you don’t mind being labeled. /:)

    From my previous comments:
“It’s important to note the time period of when I posted this. My original post came out shortly after the game was first launched. It underwent a LOT of criticism by many different groups…parents, feminists, etc. The creators of Miss Bimbo issued a “statement” soon after and then proceeded to make several changes to the game.
