Jennifer’s Dad Said Girls Shouldn’t Ride ATVs

When I was young I used to ride our ATV alot. We had a deep mudhole behind our house. I loved riding through it. One time I got too far to the edge that was deeper and sunk the ATV up to the seat in mud. After a while, I finally got it unstuck from the mud and headed home. The ATV and I were covered in mud. My dad was not very happy and said “You shouldn’t do stuff like that, you’re a girl!” I could not believe he said that! I have never forgotten that, I think it made me more determined to do things people say girls can’t do. I still like to ride ATVs and get all muddy, I bowhunt, and I am trying to raise my girls to believe that they can do anything!

  • Nice, I totally agree! I started riding 3-wheelers when I was 15 and am now 34. I am writing an article for a class in school and I am calling it “Girls Ride Tough and Wear Pink” I was online doing research on other articles that females have written and came across this, more power to ya!

  • That is really awesome! Most girls these days are to worried about messing up their make up and getting dirty, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’d rather have fun! :)
