As my name reads, i am Samira Sayyid a Kenyan by birth. I am a muslim aged 19. Well i must say i was born with a talent of writing poems. I love writing poems.Its the only thing i can think of doing whenever i am free. Currently i am a student at The University Of Nairobi studying Public Relations. I am a mental health therapist in Denver, CO and I met Kenya a few years back when she spoke at a convention here. I work with adolescent boys and girls and would love to connect them to this magazine. I would like to know if there is a subscription for the magazine, if so I would like to subscribe to it. Hi everybody,

I was fortunate enough to have read a copy of Black Girl Magazine about 2years ago, but I have no idea where it went but I found another cool magazine for teens called S.P.E.A.K. Magazine which is also for teens and I have been reading it and I love it!!!!!!!!!! Its written all by teens and I submitted some of my poetry and I was contacted back and my work might be published I am so excited lol! So if Black Girl is no longer a magazine I would suggest everyone to try out S.P.E.A.K. Magazine. Good luck
