Girls Can’t Wrestle

Wrestling is not a sport I know much about. It’s been a popular design request here lately so I bumped it to the top of my list. :)

Girls Can't WHAT? Wrestling Design

I attempted to Google up some good women’s wrestling resources to go along with this article and it was honestly a bit more challenging than I’d hoped. Seems trying to find info on “women’s wrestling” or “girls wrestling” can lead you to some…um…interesting sites to say the least. It’s too bad some people have to pervert a perfectly healthy sport like this, but sadly that’s the culture we live in.

That aside, I did locate some safe sites for women’s wrestling information:

I’m certain there have to be a lot more resources than just this, so I’m counting on you to fill in the gaps.   I’d also love to hear your stories and the challenges you have faced as a female wrestler.   Please share with us in the comments below.

  9. Sometimes I use a photograph to get some idea of the subject matter, but other times I just get an idea in my head and start drawing. Some designs take a couple of hours to complete and others can take a LOT longer depending on how detailed it may be. I do all the work on the computer. There is no way I could draw these by hand. My art background is in painting, not drawing, but my college major was in music (drumming). Go figure. b-)

    lol yeah its hard to find good sites but love this picture im a girl that also wrestles im weight class 112 and the season has just started alot of people dont relize that in high school league witch im currently in we wrestle mostely guys and very few girls becasue theres so few that wrestle but a site that has alot of great resorces is http://www.themat.com it is realy great and i shows alot about womes high school to colledge and all the way to the olympics

    Hello All, I’m a former High School wrestler and let me tell you it wasn’t easy. Thankfuly my older sister also wrestled so it made it easier for the guys to understand me. At first though, the guys never really liked having a female in the their team! my sister and i were the first two female wrestler to ever join the team since the school was built in the 1950’s!!! So as you can see this was a big task to handle. However, as time went by the guys started warming up to us and before you know it they had become our brothers. Always protecting you and watching out for you…even in the off season. So for those girls who are having a hard time with the boys, dont stress it they’ll come around before you know it.

    I used to wrestle at this company
    it was REAL wrestling
    not like wwe or f or watever
    when people say i cant do something
    it makes me go like this x(
    but when people say girls r equal or better then guys
    it makes me go like this ;;)>:d<8->:x:x:x
