In Memory of Benazir
It is a sad week in women’s history. Yesterday, Benazir Bhutto, a well-respected Pakistani politician and the first woman elected to lead a Muslim state, was assassinated by a suicide bomber as she waved to supporters at a political rally. During her career, Benazir endured false accusations and previous assassination attempts, always bouncing back with a strong spirit and determination to bring democracy to her nation.
She was definitely a woman who brought inspiration and hope to people of all cultures and she will be greatly missed as a world leader who fought hard for all she believed in.
She leaves behind a husband and three children.

It’s a sad day for democracy in general.
I was shocked to read this in the newspaper yesterday. It’s terribly sad.
