Girls Can’t WHAT? is a web community that thrives on the inspiration and advice from women around the world. We invite you to share your story with us and build your own network around the interests and ideas that you hold with others. The guidelines for contributing to Girls Can’t WHAT? are simple. Please read through them before submitting your first post to this site.

General Guidelines:

  • You must be registered to post. Click here to register.
  • Posts are moderated at first and approval should occur within 24 hours.
  • Posts must be clean and “family friendly” for the most part.

Blog Ideas (Pick One to Get Started):

  • Write a short bio, introduce yourself and tell us what you do.
  • Write an inspirational story about yourself or any other female role model.
  • Copy the “Interview Questions” below and post your answers below them.
  • Share a problem you are facing and solicit advice from the community.
  • Contribute cool web sites, videos, lyrics, photos or other media that inspires you.

Advertising and Self-Promotion

  • This is a web community for women where we highlight the talents of other women so by all means flaunt your stuff, but keep it reasonable and avoid spamming. You may post one article (a “brag byte”) specifically to draw attention to your money-maker, be it a blog or an online shop, etc. After that, please limit your “advertising” to taglines and signatures.
  • Moderators reserve the right to ban your account if it is decided that you are using this site for spamming purposes.
  • Please add your site to the links section.

Interview Questions:

  • Name (first name or nickname is fine), age and location (general place like a state or country is fine).
  • What is your passion and when did you first become interested in it?
  • Describe the first time you tried (name of your passion, sport or activity).
  • Have you ever been injured or encountered any setbacks?
  • What is your favorite tool, piece of equipment or (whatever) that you use for (name of your passion, sport or activity)?
  • Do you have a favorite event that goes along with (name of your passion, sport or activity)?
  • What are some of the highlights of your career in (name of your passion, sport or activity)?
  • What challenges have you faced as a female in this area and how did you handle them?
  • Have you ever been told you “can’t” because you are a girl? What did you do about it?
  • What is your greatest accomplishment?
  • How would you encourage other girls who are interested in your field?
  • What interests do you have outside of (name of your passion, sport or activity)?
  • (Don’t forget to add photos and links to your site, myspace or video clips).

    Well you said share…. so I did. Not one of my better days, but looking back, a funny story to be sure.
